“The Modernists” honors the great new generation of jazz music composers and players. Showcasing the music of Herbie Hancock, Kenny Wheeler, Steve Swallow, Sean Smith and more, “The Modernists” will feature Taylor Barnett on trumpet, Alan Parker on guitar, Justin Kauflin on piano, Jimmy Masters on bass, and Emre Kartari on drums.
About the TowneBank Jazz Series
The TowneBank Jazz Series (formerly Miller Jazz Series) is curated by bassist Jimmy Masters and hosted cabaret-style in the intimate Miller Studio Theatre. The 2023 Series will feature a line-up of six exciting new shows from April through September, showcasing some of the most exciting performers on the scene.
