​​Presenting Tidewater Winds Annual Holiday Concert: "Winter Winds"
An unforgettable holiday celebration at the Sandler Center for the Performing Arts! Join Tidewater Winds Concert Band with Music Director, Maestro John Brewington for a cozy evening of Winter Winds.

We are thrilled to welcome Broadway vocalist, Amanda Batcher, in her first appearance with Tidewater Winds. Ms. Batcher will help light up the stage and your Spirits with new arrangements of traditional holiday favorites, including two newly commissioned selections.

Adding to the joyful evening, Amanda will be accompanied by the angelic voices of the children's chorus from Old Donation School, in Virginia Beach. Together, they will serenade us with the beautiful music of "Christmas Will You Stay." The students will perform their rendition of "Believe" from the seasonal movie, The Polar Express. Amanda will rejoin the band for a touching performance of "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas."

Tidewater Winds performs two powerful musical compositions by local composer, Stephen Melillo. "O Come Holy Night" and his "Festival of Light." Mr. Melillo is a world-renowned composer, winner of multiple Gold Global Music Awards in 2022-23, a Hollywood Music in Media Award for "Best Epic/Orchestral Music" in 2022, and a Best New Age Album Award in "New Age Radio Awards" for "The Grey II-III" in 2023.
