Get the popcorn ready, our “Movies in the Plaza” series is here at Town Center of Virginia Beach! Join us every Saturday evening, after sundown, this September and October for a free, family-friendly outdoor film in the recessed area of the Fountain Plaza. Make dinner reservations, before the show, at one of our many eateries and treat the family to a true “dinner and a movie” experience. Limited free popcorn will be provided by the Central Business District Association.

Come hungry and partake in some of your Town Center favorites for a true “dinner and a movie” experience! With over 20 restaurants, there’s something to please everyone’s palate. Know Before You Go

  • This movie series is free and open to the public
  • No ticket or reservation necessary. Space is on a first come, first serve basis. Bring your own lawn chairs and blankets.
  • Limited free popcorn
  • For weather related updates, visit the CBDA Facebook page. In the event of inclement weather, the movie night will be cancelled.
  • The City of Virginia Beach provides free parking in all public garages in Town Center.
  • While this is a family-friendly series, we recommend that you use this website to review each movie’s content and themes before deciding to bring persons under the age of 18.
  • Visitors are encouraged to follow @towncenterofvirginiabeach on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter and tag your experience with #towncenterofvirginiabeach
  • Subtitles will be turned on for all movies
  • Leashed, well-behaved dogs are permitted in all outdoor public areas (Fountain Plaza, Central Park, City sidewalks) of Town Center. If bringing your furry friend, please be mindful that owners are responsible, by law, for cleaning up after their dogs and for the behavior of their dogs. For your convenience, the City of Virginia Beach has provided twelve Dog Comfort Stations with disposable waste bags throughout Town Center. Trash cans are near each location.
  • By law, alcoholic beverages are not permitted in the Fountain Plaza
